Established in September 2007, Durham Youth Theatre is a Musical Theatre Stage School for students aged between 7-18 years old.

Students are coached each week by fully qualified, dedicated and enthusiastic teachers in the three Performing Arts disciplines of Drama, Dance & Music.  We always aim to make every session both fun and educational for our students!

Durham Youth Theatre believes that performing live on stage is not only an enjoyable and learning experience but also builds up children’s self-esteem and confidence.  Therefore, we usually put on two staged performances each year, which normally includes a pantoesque show in January and a full-scale Musical production in the summer.

Durham Youth Theatre is committed to teaching its students in a warm and nurturing environment and giving all its students equal opportunities to perform.  It also firmly believes in using live music for all its staged performances.
